Pharmatech Names Wong Chair and CEO, Chatterjee as President

Move Reflects Growth and Expansion in Consulting Services

Foster City, Calif.–Pharmatech Associates, Inc., a provider of technical and business solutions for the regulated life sciences industry, today announced appointments aimed at opening new consulting markets and establishing an international presence.

Calvin Wong has assumed the title chairman and CEO, a reflection of the company's continued growth and national recognition for its validation and consulting services. Bikash Chatterjee, who has been serving as Chief Operating Officer, was appointed president.

Wong, who founded Pharmatech in 1995, has been active in the biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, and food industries in a career spanning more than 30 years. He has held a number of management positions in operations, engineering, technical services, and validation for various biotech and pharmaceutical companies, including Syntex Laboratories. Wong holds a B.A. in Microbiology from the University of California at Berkeley.

Chatterjee has been involved in the life sciences industry for more than 20 years. He is a certified ISO 9000 Lead Assessor, a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has more than 15 years experience in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing programs in the regulated life sciences. He was recently elected president of ASQ Golden Gate Chapter and was selected by United States Pharmacopeia (USP) as an advisor to its program to assist drug companies in applying GMP requirements internationally. Mr. Chatterjee holds a B.A. in Biochemistry and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego.
